Forum Closing: Thank you from USAID
Merri Weinger (thru Julia Rosenbaum e-account) - Friday 26 May 2006Hello everyone,
I am officially closing the formal part of the E-Conference on Household Water Treatment and Storage hosted by the Hygiene Improvement Project (HIP). On behalf of our team at USAID (John Borrazzo, Rochelle Rainey and I), we have been very impressed by the enthusiasm, dedication and
creativity of the many POU activists who are designing and implementing programs in the field, developing and testing new technologies, and grappling with the challenges of promoting and sustaining a complex set of new behaviors. I encourage you to keep the dialogue going on the HIP web-site (see the previous note from Jaap Pels).
This is the first of a series of e-conferences that HIP will be hosting- so stay tuned for the next program. I also want to extend special thanks to Renuka Bery, Knowledge Management Coordinator of HIP, Devon Mackenzie, HIP Project Assistant and Jaap Pels, at the International
Water and Sanitation Centre (IRC) based in the Netherlands (and HIP partner) for co-hosting the e-conference and
keeping participants on their toes.
We at USAID/HIP look forward to working with you in the field and continuing to chat on-line as we move toward improved water quality for those most in need.
Best wishes,
Merri Weinger
