Although research is not a HIP priority, the project will engage in limited operations research where the gaps are greatest. In addition, formative research may be necessary at a country level to develop appropriate behavior change strategies.

Information on HIP's support for the West Africa Water Initiative (WAWI). HIP is no longer working activitely on this program and our support ended in 2008.
HIP is developing partnerships with private voluntary, non-governmental and private sector commercial organizations to build the capacity of program implementers in hygiene behavior change, to exchange knowledge and to strengthen hygiene programs.
HIP's aim is to support USAID to advance global leadership for hygiene improvement worldwide.
