ARD was founded in 1977 and is based in Burlington Vermont with a branch office in Washington, DC and 20 project officers around the world. ARD programming focuses around governance and institutional developent, natural resources and the environemnt, agriculture, information and knowledge management and infrastructure. ARD is a subcontractor for HIP and brings twenty years of experience on WASH and EHP. It is able to access consultants from a wide varienty of sectors, such as environmental health, information and knowledge management and private sector development. ARD uses appropriate techniques for behavior change promotion programming and goes beyond the status quo.
